The President of the Association

On November 20, 1994, at a joint session of the members of the organization, Nanuli Shevardnadze was elected President. She is an Honored Journalist of Georgia and had been working on the staff of the journal “Sakartvelos Qali” (Women of Georgia) for more that three decades. She is the founder and editor- in- chief of the newspaper “Peace to All” and she is an elected member of the Presidium and Committee “Motherhood and Childhood” of the Mutual Assistance Foundation of the International Academy of Information. 

Through the recommendation of the Foundation Nanuli Shevardnadze’s biography was entered into the World Encyclopedia under the “Elite” index – “The Golden Fund of Charity”. For her active participation in the campaign aimed at the eradication of poliomyelitis and for her personal contribution to the vaccination process she was awarded the “Minor Golden Medal” and Honorary Certificate by the World Health Care Organization. She is also the holder of the “Great Golden Medal” for her contribution to improving the health care system. For her long and productive activities in the field of journalism, the Journalists’ Federation of Georgia awarded Nanuli Shevardnadze the Niko Nikoladze Premium, and the “Saqartvelos Respublika” (the Republic of Georgia) newspaper gave her the medal – “Golden Bird” and named her the Laureate in the nomination – For Kindness and Humanism.
